Recover after a day on the levadas and mountain trails with a massage made for hikers.
The hiking massage uses Thai massage techniques to relieve the areas that work hardest on a hike: legs, feet, hips and lower back. The therapist uses rhythmic movements and stretching, adapted to how you feel after your walk, and the pressure can be adjusted from gentle to firm.
• May ease tired, heavy legs and sore feet
• Helps loosen tight calves, thighs and hips after long ascents and descents
• Rhythmic movements and a calm setting help you unwind after a big day outdoors
• Helps you feel ready for the next trail
Hikers, trail runners, and anyone who has been walking a lot during their stay in Madeira, from the Vereda do Larano to the levada walks and Pico Ruivo.
Please tell us if you have blisters, cuts, sunburn, swelling or an injury from your hike. We will adapt the massage or suggest waiting.
1. A short chat: what trail you did, how long, and where it hurts
2. The therapist starts with feet and legs, then moves to hips and lower back
3. Rhythmic massage with stretching to loosen the muscles
4. A calm ending and time to rest
